Things to look forward to this week

WEDNESDAY, of course, is the day we find out BOY or GIRL. We can't wait! But, until then, we'll be excited to hear from David Archuleta. If you don't know what I'm talking about, SHAME on YOU. He's the kind of kid you want hanging out with your teenage boys, playing xbox and guitar heroes at your house, and possibly even dating your teenage daughter. If he doesn't win this competition then I am officially giving up on American Idol. I also think it's necessary to label this year as "The Year of the Mormons." Mormons running for president, Mormons not just performing on, but dominating American Idol. What's next? Shane has also picked him as the favorite, so I guess we'll see. He's almost always right about who will be eliminated from week to week.

me

So , I have to admit, I don't really like having my picture taken. I want to be able to take my own picture, you know, so I can avoid nasty angles, but that doesn't always work out for the best. The photographer in me finally asked my sweet hubby to snap a picture of my new haircut to show Marilyn. I'm proud to say that this is the outcome after many deleted shots and a little coaching. Way to go Shane!
This may be the only shot you see of me for a long long time! NEXT . . . .we'll tackle the family pictures! (I really really need to get a remote for my camera.)

Monochromaticitis?

Is there such a thing as monochromaticitis? So, maybe I made up the word. Perhaps, but as it would happen, five people were found in New York who only wear one color. This lovely lady named Elizabeth Sweetheart wears only green. Image that. I don't think I could choose just one, if given the opportunity.
Just for you who may be considering it, Paige has declared that it is Pink Day today. What? You've never heard of the day? You ought to be ashamed! And you call yourself an American. The festivities include dressing all in pink, eating only off of pink dinnerware and, of course, sunbathing in the bathtub fully dressed in pink. Well . . . . what are you waiting for? Now's the time to give monochromaticitis a try!

Girl or Boy?

We find out on March 5th if we will be having a girl or a boy. I can't wait. The kids rooms are just sitting, waiting, neglected, as if I have run out of ideas . . . .I haven't. My crafty eye has been wandering for a few months now. Here are a few of my faves. (I regret to inform you that I will not be sharing the sources of these finds to protect possible gift recipients who are also with child! ~ so don't ask!)
CUTE bedding for a girl . . .
or maybe a BOY!
I can't wait to get a hold of this diaper bag!
The SWEETEST booties I've ever seen!(and I mean sweet as in "oh, so sweet" . . . not as in "sweet, dude!" Just in case you care.)
